Tell me Roddy, has anyone heard from CMRC why the series is shortened so much?...It makes no sense, to me last year we opened some eyes, Gonzalez, Craig, Johnson, these guys must be asked alot what they thought about the Canadian Nats...I'm sure now and then they say "it is a legit series, with some really fast guys"..how the hell can we (CMRC/Riders) move forward when the freakin series is so short. If anything add a couple more rounds, post some more money, bigger true privateer paydays etc...MX is getting bigger and bigger and if we don't grow alongside it we may be washed away. We need a big time series with big time riders so our boys can ride with the fastest riders the world has to offer, you can be #1 in Canada and go stateside for an outdoor and hardly stay in the top ten, to progress riders need to constantly ride with faster riders. With an eight race series how will this happen?

It`s stupid to eight rounds. it's not give some good riders that have finishs out of the top teten catch the leaders. They should stay with the old twelve round scedule. So screw that.

hey gang.. I certainly haven't heard why the CMRC is reducing the # of rounds. seems like a step back when so many teams and riders are stepping up. Where's Truro New Brunswick? Roddy

The mighty Mark created a hornet's nest out west and had everybody hating everybody else, so he just amputated the offending limbs. Some of the other tracks shouldn't have been on the schedule in the first place. Too bad he couldn't see his way clear to put a second Atlantic round at Riverglade. This sched is good in one way...we'll see a little more of our regional pros. In any case, Mr. Stallybrass appears to have some teething pains he has to deal with. I do agree though, 2002 is certainly not an improvement in the status of the Canadian nationals.

From what I understand there are a couple of reasons for the cut back. The major sponsors wanted less races and some of the bigger teams were in favor, as it would save them thousands of dollars.
Although, as you said, a lot of teams have stepped up their sponsorship, they are finding it hard to match it every year.
I do agree there should have been two races in the east instead of two in Quebec.

Great going, why so many?, maybe it should be cut back to 6 or even 4, That way we can wipe Canadain hopes right off the map, Who needs the support from our own country, we have the States. I guess its just another pile of bull*&%# that we will have to deal with. Have a nice day
