Roar by the Shore--- Racin in Bathurst
posted by James Chamberlain
We have finally completed our program in Bathurst--- It's worth a look -ROAR BY THE SHORE
Roar by the Shore- That is the title of our weekend of racing in Bathurst. We are anticipating strong fan support and only need you the riders. This is the format--- Saturday is a "Fun Day" which means from roughly midday until 6:30 track time is yours!!!! (classes will be organized). I know a common concern is practice time, now is your opportunity to practice at your hearts content. Cost $5.00 THAT'S IT. To futher entice you, we the organizers have purchased $3000.00 wholesale Moto-X stuff as prizes in a draw for Saturday's arrivals. If you arrive before 2:00PM on Saturday your name will go in the draw for great great prizes. Yes you read correctly $3000.00 Bucks. You can win more than once too.
We did not forget the peewee class as we have built a separate track for your racing pleasure. A track all to your own. No big stutter bumps or whoops to worry about. Saturdays rule on the draw still apply.
Sunday is a normal race day where we added somthing for the pros. The normal payout is there as is an extra $1000.00 for your pockets. We realize Bathurst in off the beaten trail and we are trying our best to entice you the racer and family the extra distance. I hope you will not be disappointed Call Jim Chamberlain 506-546-2285 for info. A hand out with directions will be available at Fox Hollow, I will be around Jim C

James, could you send a line to let me know what your soil is like. Thanks.

Track condition in Bathurst is quite varied. We are in a very old field which was widened over time. The farmer deposited some of the "bad" (rocky) soil at the edges of the field and therefore this makes up some of the track. Most of the rocks could be desribed as marble like gravel. We are hauling in more soil where the conditions need it. My stand on tires would be intermediate to hard. Very little sand or loom, with hard backed bermed corners
