CGIWrap Error: Script Execution Failed
CGIWrap Error: Script Execution Failed

CGIWrap encountered an error while attempting to execute this script:

Error Message: Permission denied
Error Number: 13
This message usually indicates there is a problem with the script itself. Often this indicates either that the #! line of the script is incorrect, or the script was uploaded in binary mode instead of ascii mode. Check to make sure that the script does not have control-M's at the end of every line. That will prevent it from executing. An easy fix that takes care of this most of the time is to put '#!/.../perl --' instead of '#!/.../perl' on the first line of the script. This is typically a problem if the script was edited or uploaded from a DOS/Windows/Macintosh station to a unix based server.

If you are not the owner of this script, please forward this error and the URL that caused it to the script owner. That is often the component in the URL right after /cgiwrap/.

Mid-season national report
posted by Roddy

Halfway through the 2002 Canadian national series sees Jean Sebastien Roy with a 16 point lead over Blackfoot Honda teammate and rival Blair Morgan. Toys for Big Boys Honda rider Ryan Lockhart and fellow Maritimer Jamie Bird are also in the points.

With seven Americans populating the top 20, Lockhart and Bird have turned in impressive finsihes in the very competitive 250cc class. Finishing 14-14 in the season opener at the Wastelands, British Columbia Lockhart nailed down a 13th overall while Bird scored 24-23 for 27th overall.

The following race in Kamloops, B.C. Lockhart scored another consistent 12-13 for 14th overall while Bird scored his first points for the season with a top 20 result in the first moto. He went 18-29 for 22nd overall on the day.

The Calgary round was hosted by Blackfoot Honda and unfortunately Super-Newf scored no points on that day while Jammin' Jamie Bird posted another consistent result: 22-19 for 22nd overall.

At the last round in Regina, Saskatchewan Lockhart jumped back into the fray with a 31-13 score giving him 16th overall while Mr. Consistent Jamie settled in at 21-20 for 23rd overall.

Two-Wheel Kawasaki rider Machine Gun Mitchell Cooke has been sorrily missed on the Western swing of the Nationals, but both he and his Team will be competing in the Eastern rounds. Expect to see Mitch mixing it up in the 125 East class along with Lockhart, Bird and possibly other Maritime racers.

The next race in Joliete, Quebec begins the Eastern series rounds and it's likely Cooke, Lockhart and Bird will improve on their results as they each have extensive sand-riding experience. And let's not forget round 6 will be held at Pleasant Valley, Nova Scotia where all three riders should be able to compete for top finishes, regardless of the classes they choose to race. Only two rounds remain after Pleasant Valley, St. Julie, Quebec and then onto Walton, Ontario for the season finale. Let's hope they keep things in control at this year's Grand National so that our boys Dick and Blaine don't have to save any more lives.

Here's a round up of the 250cc class results thus far. Bring on the Eastern Rounds!
