Rain Rain Go Away!

Mother Nature dictated it's fate on West Prince Motocross this weekend.
Mother Nature dictated it’s fate on West Prince Motocross this weekend. The rain hit Saturday afternoon and was still falling when we left the island this afternoon (Sunday). The vast amount of precipitation turned what was a well worked track (due to the diligence of Trent & Michelle Arsenault) into mud. Now we all have experienced mud at some race or another but the main concern was the road going into the track as it was getting quite slippery. If the race was run, emergency vehicles would not be able access the track. Hats off to Trent for going to the NB side of the bridge, early this morning, to let racers know of the closure thus saving them the bridge toll. He pretty much flagged down anything that looked like it might be hauling bikes including several horse racers! Lets hope that this does not discourage them too much as motocross tracks are hard to find. Here’s looking forward to their fall race to experience their Island hospitality that eluded us this spring.
