Lockhart dominates NB/PEI series race

DUVAR - Ryan Lockhart dominated the Canadian Motocross Racing Club’s NB/PEI motocross series races, winning all four classes he was entered in, at the event held here Sunday at West Prince Motocross Park before about 200 fans. He wasn’t the only big winner as Toys for Big Boys rider Charlie Smith, of Moncton, N.B. took top honours in 250 cc Intermediate and 125 Intermediate classes. Lockhart, a regular on the Canadian National Motocross series, took top honours aboard his KTM Canada sponsored ride in 250 pro, 125 pro, GP Junior and GP Pro races. He was the winner in each of those races. Other top riders were Davy Fraser on his PG Sports CityCycle winning both 80 cc (13-16 years old) races. Second was Nathan Slater of Moncton NB and Darren Marshall finished third. In the 80 cc (seven to 12 years old) class, Josh Bettie was first followed by Levi Smith and Zach Heydeman. Cory Culverson won in the Vet Junior 250 race, Brad Harper was second and Mike Trainor in third. Josie Mosher on her 125 Toys for Big Boys moto took first in the ladies class followed by Shiajan Bannister and Jessica Malaknejadorangi in third. In the Veteran pro 250 race, first went to Paul Smith, and Stev Parkinson of New Pleasant Valley NS, was second. Jamie Bowness on his Spoken Trac Motovan Johnstone rode to top prize in the 125 Junior class with a second and first place finishes. Wade Silliker, of Coleman, rode his Bloomfield Parts moto to a fifth overall placing in the 125 junior class. Fraser wound up second in the 125 junior while Justin Smith on his Wheels and Waves sponsored ride finished third overall. In the ATV pro class, Billy McCormick finished first while in the ATV Junior class top honours went to Jeff Simms of Truro Nova Scotia and Action Cycles rider Kurtis Kuryk. Local rider Jordan Bigelow of Miscouche took top place in the 125 Junior/250 Beginner class while Earl Wallace of Coleman was second. Jocke Bell of Belle Isle, NB finished third. Zach Heydeman of Shediac, NB took the overall top honours in the 60 cc Peewee division with Ka-Liong Hiew of Quispamsis, NB finishing second. Third went to Brad Lockhart of Springhill, NS. Emily Arsenault of Duvar (10th overall) and Chance Waite of Miscouche (ninth overall) were the only two local riders in the 60 cc class. In the 250 Junior race, Tony Enmond won both, collecting 50 points for the two wins while Brad Harper ended up second overall and Cory Culverson rounded out the podium in third. Smith was second while Ledwidge Lumber/Action Cycles Motorcycles rider Kyle Ledwidge, of Enfield, N.S., finished in third in the GP Pro race. Myles Clements was the top dog in the 50 cc (four to six year old) class while Caleb Kitchen of Salisbury NB was second followed by Brandon Blakney on his Toys for Big Boys 50 cc bike. In the seven and eight year old 50 cc class, Rod Legace was first, Jamie Stafford was second and third was Dustin Johnson. Ledwidge finished second in the 250 intermediate class while Paul Smith on his Fast By Design sponsored ride finished second in the 250 Pro class. Owners Trent and Michelle Arsenault were pleased with the way things went over the weekend. They encourage the public to come out for the next NB/PEI Series race they host, on Sept 20 at West Prince Motocross Park.

Good Job Pat thanks for all your help yesterday we couldn't have done it without ya guy. Come on over some time and we'll work you over to get you a little more moto savy though. p.s. the next race is on the 21st of sept not the 20th but everyone is welcome to come over on the 20th if they like and i promise i'll have the old water truck working better for the early morning water sesions.
