Rain, rain and more rain greeted riders of the fifth round of the Fall CMRC Atlantic Motocross championships in Brookfield, Nova Scotia this past weekend. So much so the race day was cut in half. Here's a quick report.

Cooke rises to career best

Our own Machine Gun Mitchell Cooke has had a fantastic year on the National circuit, and we're not the only ones who've noticed. Motocross Unplugged Magazine has named Cooke the "Biggest Mover" as his national ranking soars from 37 to 18 for 2001 (9th overall in the 125 East class). Congratulations Mitch! More.

Montreal Supercross preview

September 30th sees Atlantic riders racing at Loretta Lee's, but the national boys will be duking it out at the Olympic Stadium in Montreal in front of an expected 55,000 fans. Preview.

Honda rules at Italy's FastCross

The European off-season started this weekend with the famed FastCross in Arsago, Italy. It was an all-Honda podium Sunday with American Honda's Sebastien Tortelli taking the win ahead of Amsoil Honda's Mike LaRocco and third place PAMO Honda's Ryan Hughes. Yamaha's Jeremy McGrath finished fourth with Josh Coppins rounding out the top five.
