Blackfoot dominates Nanaimo, Lockhart 10th

Calgary based Blackfoot Honda started the 2004 Canadian nationals like they ended them in 2003: total domination.
Blackfoot Honda riders took the top three spots in the 250 class and the top two positions in 125. Nova Scotia's Ryan Lockhart raced his BMR Yamaha to an impressive 10 place finish at the Nanaimo season opener.

2003 250 National champion Jean Sebastien Roy showed no signs of loosening his grip on the Canadian nationals powering his way to 1-1 finishes yesterday. Teammate Damon Huffman secured second with 4-2 moto scores, but the biggest surprise had to be Blackfoot's latest 250 rider, Dusty Klatt. Added to the team only one month ago, the Campbell River native took home field to full advantage posting 3-3 and securing his second ever podium finish.
In the 125 class it was again Klatt raising some eyebrows taking both moto wins over pre race favourites Califonians Ryan Morais and Jeff Northrup. Other local notables include B.C.'s Kyle Beaton and Colton Facciotti finishing 4th and 5th respectively.
The Canadian nationals roll on next Sunday in Mission, B.C.
