Springhill Nova Scotia's Ryan Lockhart scored another top ten finish at round 2 of the CMRC Canadian Nationals this weekend in Mission, British Columbia.

39 year old John Dowd fared much better this weekend on the rough Mission track taking a pair of seconds. JSR was the overall 250 winner while American Ryan Morais went 2-1 for the overall in the 125 class ahead of B.C. native Dusty Klatt's 1-2.

Here's the news release:

Under a cloudless sky and temperatures that hovered in the mid-30s, Mission, BC hosted Round 2 of the CMRC Canadian Motocross Championships on Sunday.

It was another banner weekend for Blackfoot Racing Honda. The Calgary superteam team won both the 125 West and 250 National motos, in what was almost a rerun of Nanaimo last weekend.

While Jean Sebastien Roy handily won the elite 250 class, his teammate Ryan Morais snared the 125cc West division.

Third team member, Dusty Klatt, battled to second overall in the 125. Klatt won ahead of Morais last weekend in Nanaimo. Morais grabbed first overall on the strength of a second place in moto one, and the victory in moto two.

The Californian was followed onto the podium by BMR Yamaha’s Kyle Beaton. Up-and-comer Beaton chalked up third overall on the strength of impressive 3-3 motos.

In 250cc National action, veteran John Dowd (OTSFF Suzuki) proved to be JSR’s main competition. The Massachusetts native led the first moto for about a third of the race. Roy, who had started in seventh, quickly connected with the front-runners to take over the lead from Dowd.

Although he could not shake the American in the remaining laps, JSR stayed ahead of a persistent Dowd till the finish line.

In the second moto, JSR claimed the holeshot and led the field through turn one. He would remain up front till the end of the moto, earning himself his second consecutive clean sweep of the season.

“I pushed hard in both motos while trying to stay smooth and on two wheels. This track is really demanding and you have to be totally focused every inch of it or you’re in trouble,” said Roy.

Dowd again hounded defending champion Roy and again settled for second place. Dowd’s moto results delivered him second overall for the day. Coors Light Suzuki's Craig Decker, third man on the podium, finished both his motos in third place.
