IMX Walton Travel Fund back again in 2004.
For some Amateur riders, qualifying for the Walton TransCan Grand National Championship is the easy part. But finding the money to travel to the biggest race of their lives is a little more tricky. Inside Track Communications, publisher of Inside Motorcycles and IMX has confirmed its renewal of the Walton GNC Travel Fund, a program designed to help defray the travel expenses for racers attending the Amateur Grand National Championships in Walton, ON Aug. 11-15. Over $5,000.00 will be available to amateur riders from across Canada.
The GNC is Canadas biggest motocross event, attracting over 900 riders and 12,000 motocross fans to the Southwestern Ontario venue each year. The program features the three-day Amateur National Championships and culminates with the final round of the Canadian National Pro Motocross Championship.
This is the third straight year weve sponsored the Walton GNC Travel Fund and its been very gratifying to hear how much the program has helped out Amateur racers, says David Weber, co-founder of Inside Motorcycles and IMX magazines. Sometimes it doesnt take much to make a big difference in a riders season.
