Rainy
day in Pleasant Valley
Wet weather greeted
early risers on Sunday morning as the previous week's
Indian summer gave way to autumn's rain at the Pleasant
Valley motocross held this weekend in Brookfield, Nova
Scotia.
While the track was in
perfect condition before practice Sunday, a steady rain
changed all that. Before practice ended the entire
track was a splashy mess. In fact, before the
first set of motos were over, it was clear to everyone
this would be a shortened day of racing. A rider's
meeting was held after the last moto of the first set,
and it was agreed to end the day there. Points for
the day were limited to what each rider scored in their
first moto.
In the end it was a
disappointing conclusion to what should have been an
excellent day of racing. Robbie Cooke and his crew
had the track prepped perfectly and the stage was set
for great battle's in the various races for
championships in each of our classes.
But, there's always
next weekend in Moncton which hosts the last two events
of the Fall CMRC Atlantic Championship series.
Saturday sees racing action at the new Loretta Lee's
track in Salisbury. If you haven't ridden here yet
you're going to love it! And Sunday we finish out
the year at Riverglade Motocross. Don't forget the
Spaghetti supper on Saturday night!
