Local
boy hits bigtime
The AMA
National MX round should tweak our interest more so than
ever this year. That's due to Doug Stone of Stewiake, Nova
Scotia being mechanic for #10 National rider Larry
Ward.
Ward, who
rides a Yamaha YZ250F in the 125cc National Championship
class, had an impressive 2nd place finish this weekend
at round five held at Budd’s Creek, Maryland.
For the
past few years Doug has been the mechanic for Two-Wheel
Kawasaki, Pro-Action Suspension rider Mitchell Cooke and
ALDO KTM rider Heidi Cooke. After spending the winter in
Florida wrenching for the Cooke's, Doug left the world
of bikes to go farming full time this spring. However
fate intervened and Doug found himself as mechanic for
Larry Ward and is loving every minute of it. We look
forward to following the career of this talented
mechanic.
Best of
Luck Dougie from all your Atlantic Canadian friends!

;-) but he rides for our Dougie Stone! |
