Fall Series Updates
As the fall series rapidly approaches, there are a couple of items of interest for riders to be
aware of. Riders advancing to the next class include:
Junior to
Intermediate:
-
Andre Deveau
-
Gilles
Deveau
Intermediate to Pro:
These riders have more than proved themselves in their former classes and should have no problems adapting to a new
challenge.
It has been noted that the 50cc 4-6 class has regular participants that are older than 6 years. The ruling is that if a rider is 6 or younger on Jan 1, they can continue to race the 4-6 class all year even though they may turn 7 later in the year. Make sense? Parents should start checking to make sure that their riders get entered in the right class, to help that out, promoters at registration will be checking birthdates. If we start now, then we can have a straight forward fall series from the start.
Any
Beginner rider wishing to move up to Junior can do so on their own, simply go to the next race and sign up as a Junior. We encourage you to do so, remember there is no points accumulation in
Beginner which = no glory! One win in the Beginner class means automatic advancement.
With the ever increasing class sizes, proper numbering is more important than ever. There is rarely a race without some sort of scoring problem in some class. Sometimes these mistakes aren't solely the fault of lap-scorers. As riders, we must ensure that our bikes are properly numbered, with proper number and background colors being of equal importance. Numbers on backs are mandatory. Any riders that scoff at these rules should spend a day lap-scoring a race, especially motos with 30 or more riders and multiple classes. You certainly would gain a new perspective.
