Answer's M8
helmet
by Roddy MacLeod
| Now
that you've read Joe Treen's article, Million
Dollar Melon, and you know all about
choosing the right helmet size for your lid,
have a look at Answer's new helmet for 2001.
I bought this
helmet because I was wearing Answer gear this
year anyway, but you need to check out the
features of this helmet if you're in the
market.
Many of the top
name helmets (Shoei, Bell, Arai) have pretty
cool features, but the Answer helmet has them
too, at a MUCH more affordable price...

Answer's new M8
helmet |
| Okay,
first thing's first.. the new M8 looks
cool! Okay, second thing, see the little
red arrow in the picture below? It's
pointing to a cam which you can use to adjust
the angle of the visor. This is a nice
feature because you can easily adjust your visor
down for those really bright sunny days, and up
more for those tight tracks (indoor?) allowing
maximum forward visibility. You should
always be looking well ahead of your front wheel
to see where you're going. Keeping your
visor high helps.

Alright the
next feature is that all of the lining comes out
of the helmet easy (and goes back in easy
too. Bonus. But, the REALLY cool
thing is the biofoam mouthpiece area is velcro'd
in too. It just peels off (see photo)
allowing you to rinse all the mud and goo out of
there. This is particularly helpful if
you're in the habit of gobbing in your helmet
while you race, like Boo Green for example!

Clean the
spooge!
Lastly, the red
arrow in the next picture points to another nice
touch by Answer. The shiny mouthpiece is
held in by little Phillips screws. This is
so you can easily replace the mouthpiece in the
helmet should it ever pop out or get
damaged. Hey, that's trick.

easy

CGIWrap Error: Script Execution Failed
| CGIWrap Error: Script Execution Failed | CGIWrap encountered an error while attempting to execute
this script:
- Error Message: Permission denied
- Error Number: 13
This message usually indicates there is a problem with the script
itself. Often this indicates either that the #! line of the script
is incorrect, or the script was uploaded in binary mode instead of
ascii mode. Check to make sure that the script does not have
control-M's at the end of every line. That will prevent it from
executing. An easy fix that takes care of this most of the time
is to put '#!/.../perl --' instead of '#!/.../perl' on the first
line of the script.
This is typically a problem if the script was edited or uploaded
from a DOS/Windows/Macintosh station to a unix based server.
If you are not the owner of this script, please forward this error
and the URL that caused it to the script owner. That is often the
component in the URL right after /cgiwrap/.
